In our Top Secrets videos, songwriters who’ve achieved the feat of topping the charts, and earning a SOCAN No. 1 Song Award, tell us the stories behind the making of these hits.
After appearing a few times on Québec radio charts, Koriass, the St-Eustache-born rapper, finally scored his first No. 1 ever on June 10, 2024 – thanks to his Summery song “Printemps.” It reached the peak of both the Mediabase Francophone Radio Top 100 and the Francophone Adult Pop Top 25.
“Printemps” was co-written by Koriass, Ruffsound, A.C. Vasquez, and Lord Wiliam, and recorded at Lord William’s studio in Orford, Québec. That’s where Paroles & Musique went to meet with Koriass to present him his No. 1 plaque, and chat with about the making of this irresistible earworm, still in heavy rotation on Québec radio stations.
