In 2025, SOCAN is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of our first predecessor organization, the Canadian Performing Rights Society (CPRS), which later became CAPAC (the Composers, Authors and Publishers Association of Canada). The founding of CPRS also marks the birth of music copyright in this country.
