In 2025, SOCAN is celebrating the 100th Anniversary of our first predecessor organization, CAPAC (the Composers, Authors and Publishers Association of Canada), whose founding also marks the birth of music copyright in this country.
Throughout 2025, we’ll be sharing special “SOCAN 100” content and activities, including posts every Wednesday on our social media, celebrating some historical milestones of our organization and its members; videos marking the anniversary; a unique edition of the SOCAN Awards in September; and much more.
