The air was buzzing with excitement as SOCAN and Warner Music Canada’s 91 North label held their first-ever Punjabi Song Camp, July 9-12, 2024, at Warner’s Toronto Studios in downtown Toronto.
Artists at the camp were Jonita, Channi Nattan, Talwiinder, AR Paisley, and Gurtej.
Songwriters who attended were Inderpal Moga, Natasha Noorani, Mitika K, Simar, Deputy, Tesher, Anjulie, Majo, and Liz Lokre.
Participating producers were Intense, Gminxr, Yanchan, ProdGK, Jay Trak, Kofo, Manna, Ikky Singh, Euro, Lazy Eye, Dom Dias, Tony Parker, and Milano, with recording engineers Amir Jamm and Pino Russo.
SOCAN attendees included Creative Executive, East Coast, Houtan Hodania; Creative Executive, Film/TV and Visual Media, Gagan Singh; Manager, Creative Operations and Programming, Alex Golden; CEO Jennifer Brown; and CFO Robert Bennett.
