SOCAN member Cassandra Miller has been nominated for two Ivors Classical Awards in 2024: Best Choral Composition, for (The City, Full of People), and Best Orchestral Composition, for (I cannot love without trembling).
The awards gala ceremony, sponsored by British music rights organization PRS for Music, in association with BBC Radio 3, will be held Nov. 12, 2024, at the BFI Southbank in London, England.
Since 1956 the U.K-based Ivors Academy has presented the Ivor Novello Awards, to shine a spotlight on the talent of music creators. The Ivors Classical Awards are the U.K.’s foremost celebration of creative excellence in contemporary classical music and sound art.
