The Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) will induct Gilles Godard into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, as the 2024 Stan Klees Builder honouree. He’ll receive the tribute during Country Music Week, running Sept. 11-14, 2024, in Edmonton – alongside  k.d. lang, recently named as the 2024 Hall Of Fame Artist inductee.

Godard has spent more than 50 years in the music industry, and is currently President of Anthem Music Publishing Nashville. The longtime publisher began his career with Anthem (formerly ole) as a songwriter, and worked his way up to President via various key positions. Godard oversees Anthem’s large roster of country songwriters, including SOCAN members Meghan Patrick, Chris Buck, Jimmy Thow, and Patricia Conroy.

An accomplished songwriter, music publisher, artist, and producer, Godard has earned four SOCAN Awards – including an International Songwriter Achievement Award – two CCMA Awards, two BMI Awards, a Félix Award, and multiple JUNO Award nominations. More than 400 of his songs have been recorded, by artists such as Ricky Skaggs, Patty Loveless, Anne Murray, Terri Clark, The Road Hammers,  Tommy Hunter, Colleen Peterson, and Ronnie Prophet, among others.
