SOCAN was pleased and proud to present Katie Tupper with a No. 1 Song Award for co-writing “Need Nothing,” which scaled the peak of the CBC Music Top 20 Countdown on April 11, 2024.
Tupper, who performs the song, co-wrote it with her fellow SOCAN members Nick Ferraro, David Steinmetz, Justice Der, and Felix Fox-Pappas.
SOCAN Creative Executive Houtan Hodania presented the award to Tupper on Thursday, June 6, 2024, just before her Canadian Music Week performance (for the second of two nights) at the Drake Underground.
