After three nights of semi-finals at the Lion d’Or club in Montréal, the three finalists of the 2024 Francouvertes are now known: Soleil Launière, Loïc Lafrance, and Sensei H came out on top. They’ll compete in the final round, presented by SiriusXM, on May 13, at 7:30 p.m., at Club Soda. The decision was taken jointly, by both a jury of professionals and a public audience, who voted in person and online, thanks to a specially designed broadcasting platform.

On the final evening of the semi-finals, many prizes were awarded, including the SOCAN Paroles & Musique Prize, which went to Le Belladone for the quality of her lyrics and music. She was awarded a cash prize of $1 000.

For its part, SOCAN Foundation awarded LeBlaze a $2 000 cash prize to create the theme song for the 2025 edition of the Francouvertes. To learn more about the other prizes awarded during the semi-finals, and all the prizes that will be distributed at the end of the grand finale, access the Francouvertes website.

The “J’aime mes ex” series also came to an end in the semi-finals, with performances by Anatole, Laurence-Anne, and La Faune. SOCAN is proud to have made this series possible, allowing audiences to re-connect with the musical universe of past contestants throughout the heats and semi-finals, including VioleTT Pi, Mon Doux Saigneur, Miss Sassoeur, Rosie Valland, Samuele, Vendou, and adieu narcisse.

The grand finale of the 28th edition will be held at Club Soda, in front of a live audience, on May 16, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. This year’s spokespersons, Lou-Adriane Cassidy and Thierry Larose, will open the evening with a short performance. It will also be possible to catch the entire evening online, for free. If you wish to vote for the full experience, you can buy a ticket that includes a ballot to have your say in who’ll win this year’s contest.

Good luck to all the finalists of the 2024 Francouvertes!
